The Global Association of Professional Boot Fitters

About Sam Tischendorf:
Sam Tischendorf is a former Australian sports podiatrist who has built her career at the intersection of biomechanics, ski boot fitting, education, and product development. As one of the few women working within the hardgoods side of the ski industry, she spent more than 12 years with BootDoctors in Telluride developing a reputation for blending clinical expertise with practical boot fitting to help recreational skiers, instructors, and elite athletes perform at their best. From 2014 to 2024, Sam was an active member of the Masterfit education team, helping educate bootfitters throughout North America. She has also extensively collaborated with Tecnica on both Project 165 and the Women's to Women initiative, while contributing to industry education through the PSIA National Academy and Women's Summit.
Following her time at BootDoctors, Sam joined Sidas World USA, where she helped expand the company's presence in the running category through technical education, custom insole solutions, and academy development. She now works at Rendezvous Run in Park City, where she is focused on growing custom fit services, advancing footwear and orthotic fit protocols, and strengthening collaboration between retailers and healthcare professionals. Alongside her retail and clinical work, Sam also collaborates with Kästle on alpine boot development, bringing the voice of the bootfitter and insights from biomechanics directly into product development. Passionate about education and innovation, she enjoys connecting clinical principles with practical solutions that improve both skier performance and comfort.
